School Licence Agreement
Terms for educational institutions
This School Licence Agreement governs the use of DeafGenius by educational institutions. By subscribing to a School Licence, the institution agrees to the terms outlined below.
School Licence Overview
A School Licence grants access to DeafGenius for the following user types within the institution:
School Administrators
Manage licences, users, and school settings
Teachers
Create classes, assign lessons, track student progress
Students
Access learning content and complete assignments
School Administrator Responsibilities
School Administrators are responsible for:
Invite Teachers
Administrators must invite and verify teachers who will use the platform. Only authorised staff should be granted access.
Manage Users
Administrators must maintain accurate user records and ensure only current students and staff have active accounts.
Remove Users
When students or staff leave the institution, administrators must promptly remove or deactivate their accounts.
Maintain Account Security
Administrators must ensure secure authentication practices and protect school account credentials.
Licence Restrictions
Schools must NOT:
- Share licence credentials with other schools or institutions
- Resell or redistribute access to DeafGenius
- Redistribute DeafGenius content outside the licensed institution
- Use the platform for commercial purposes beyond educational delivery
- Exceed the number of users specified in the licence agreement
Data Protection
Schools must comply with UK GDPR when using DeafGenius:
- Ensure appropriate consent is obtained for student data processing
- Maintain records of processing activities
- Follow school safeguarding policies when managing student accounts
- Cooperate with data subject access requests

Subscription Terms
Licence Duration
School licences are typically annual subscriptions. The licence period begins on the activation date and continues for 12 months unless terminated earlier in accordance with this agreement.
Renewal Process
Licences automatically renew unless cancelled at least 30 days before the renewal date. We will provide notice of upcoming renewal and any pricing changes at least 60 days in advance.
Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement with 30 days' written notice. Upon termination, the school will retain access until the end of the current billing period. Data export assistance is available for 90 days post-termination.

Schools receive dedicated support according to their subscription package:
Support Includes:
- Email support during business hours
- Onboarding assistance for administrators
- Training resources for teachers
- Technical support for platform issues
