Platform Safety Features
DeafGenius implements the following safety measures to protect all users:
No Student-to-Student Messaging
Our platform does not include private messaging or chat features between users, eliminating risks of inappropriate communication.
No Public Chat Systems
There are no public forums, chat rooms, or discussion boards where users could be exposed to harmful content or interactions.
No Unmoderated User Content
Users cannot upload or share content with other users. All educational content is created and verified by DeafGenius.
Secure Authentication
All accounts require secure login credentials. Passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text.

Encrypted Passwords
All passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text.
Maximum 2 Devices Per Account
Each account is limited to 2 active devices, preventing unauthorised sharing.
Session Monitoring
Users can view and manage their active sessions from the security dashboard.
Account Sharing Protection
Suspicious multi-device activity is monitored to protect account integrity.
Data Minimisation for Child Safety
DeafGenius intentionally collects the minimum possible data to protect young users:

- Any other safeguarding issues

Emergency Disclosure
In exceptional circumstances where there is an immediate risk of harm to a child or vulnerable person, DeafGenius may share information with appropriate authorities (such as police or social services) without consent. This will only occur when legally required and when necessary to protect someone from harm.
